#100 THANK YOU

100 FAMILY STORIES

                                                                                    created by ChatGPT

After I finished the biographies of my two grandfathers, I knew I had no more books in me. But I had so many family stories--tragedies, successes, surprises, criminal, humanitarian, ironical, praise-worthy, humbling. Some of these stories were known to me; others I spent a lot of time on newspaper, library and google research. I have a good family photo collection; I supplemented with maps and on-line photos and other information and fun trivia

It  always surprised me that when I finished one story or series of blog-stories, I would have no clue what I would tackle next--but then somehow a new idea would bubble up from my sub-conscious. A bonus of blogging is its randomness-- I might post only pictures or write lengthy research papers; I was never obliged to track any specific family line, so I could blog of Steve's or my family, paternal or maternal lines, recent generations or the way-distant past. I learned so much and have had so much fun following this passion. And I gift these stories to my daughters, grandchildren, sister (and many sister-friends), husband, in-laws, cousins, and all distant kin--we are all connected somehow.

I posted my first family history blog about my 2x great grandmother on January8, 2023. I cannot believe that two and a half years later, I have now published one hundred blogs. Your support, encouragement, and heartfelt messages have made every story more meaningful. Whether you've read one or all 100, you've been a part of this journey—and I’m so grateful. c
